Fire starting has been a tough skill to learn. We've made it easy.

About Us

About US

who we are?

At Fire-Fast, our aim is to provide a superior fire starting tool that can be used by just about  anyone. Its true that other fire starters can light fires, but most require very strong pressure to create enough sparks to ignite a fire. The Fire-Fast Trekker will generate a large shower of sparks with minimal effort. This means that almost anyone you entrust to light a fire will be able to do so.

Ferro Rod & Mag Size Comparison

These pictures show the relative sizes of our ferro rods.

Rod Burial Depth Magnesium rods on the Trekker, Kamper Lanyard, and Firefly are buried ¾ of an inch into the handle. The ferrocerium rods (flints) on the Trekker and Kamper are buried ½ inch into the handle, while the Firefly and Firefly Mini flints are buried ¼ inch into the handle.

Note: In 2022 we began burying the flints deeper into the handles. We have had zero reports of flint or magnesium separation since then. Our ferro rods are built tough.
