The Firefly Fire Starter is engineered for high routes, alpine starts, and any trip where every ounce gets weighed twice. At just 1.75 oz total, it slips into a pocket, harness, or pack strap without a second thought. Serious mountaineers and thru-hikers draw the line at 2 oz — Firefly sneaks under it.

  • 6mm x 2½" Euro ferro rod — narrow, precise, demands a firm scrape (grown-up tool, not kid-friendly)
  • Triple-sized magnesium bar (½" x 3½") — shave a quarter-sized pile, light it, watch 4,000°F ignite your tinder
  • Hardened steel striker — included, sharp-edged, good for thousands of strikes
