THE KAMPER LANYARD is our medium sized model, also very lightweight (3 ounces) and can comfortably be worn around the neck. The paracord lanyard is 40 inches long so that it fits just about anyone. Perfect for times when you want your hands free. You’ll never lose it!
Your new Kamper fire starter has five components:
- European Ferrocerium Rod / Flint (8mm diameter by 3-inches long), 2 1/2 inches above the handle.
- Military Grade Magnesium Rod (1/2 inch diameter by 3 1/4-inches long),
- Hardened Steel Striker/Scraper (sharpened)
- Hardwood Handle.
- 550 lb tensile strength 7 strand core paracord 40 inches long.
Update:
In January of 2022 we improved the design of the Kamper Lanyard. As you can see in the "Last year // This year" picture we added 30% more magnesium and the ferro rod is 1/2 an inch longer and is now inserted half an inch into the hardwood handle. This has increased the strength and durability of the Kamper Lanyard.
